Gospel means good news. Not advice, not a moral code, not a set of rules to keep. News, about something that has already happened, and what it means for you.
Before the four movements
One story, told in four moves.
No church background needed.
The whole message fits into four movements. GO Movement calls them God's Story, and believers around the world use them to explain the Gospel to a friend in a few minutes, without notes.
Read them in order. Each one only makes sense because of the one before it, and the last one ends with a question rather than a statement, because that is genuinely where the story leaves you.
God's Story
The Gospel, from the beginning.
Four movements, four verses. This is the same frame you would use if you were explaining it to someone else tomorrow.

God's Plan
“God loves us and created us for a relationship with Him.”
We were made to love God, glorify Him, and enjoy Him forever. Everything was perfect: no war, no injustice, no sickness, no brokenness, sin or death.

Our Problem
“Sin separates us from God and cannot be removed by good works.”
Man chose to go his own independent way. This self-will, active rebellion or passive indifference, is what the Bible calls sin — a condition of the heart resulting in brokenness, death and eternal separation from a Holy God.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

God's Solution
“Jesus died on the cross and rose again as payment for our sin.”
Jesus was God in human flesh. He lived a perfect life, died in our place, and rose again to defeat sin and death.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son.”
John 3:16 - 04Four
Our Response
“Whoever repents and trusts in Jesus alone will be saved.”
Repentance is a change of mind about our sin and our need for a savior, trusting in Jesus alone. Which leaves two questions, and they are yours to answer: does this make sense to you? Are you ready to repent and put your trust in Jesus?
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

What it changes
How this fits an ordinary life.
A message this old can sound distant. It is not. Every movement above lands somewhere specific in a real life.
A relationship, not a religion
The story does not begin with rules. It begins with God wanting to be close to people, and it ends the same way. Everything in between is Him making that possible again.
The one problem you cannot solve
Sin is not removed by trying harder or being a better person. That is the honest part of this message, and it is why the next part matters so much.
A gift, already paid for
Nothing is owed and nothing is earned. Jesus paid for sin on the cross, and what is left is an offer you either receive or leave on the table.
The fourth movement
Are you ready to put your trust in Jesus?
If you want to repent and trust Jesus as Savior and Lord, you can say this to God right now, in your own room. There is no formula and no ceremony. These are simply the words the movement prays with people all over the world.
“Lord Jesus, I need you. I realize that I'm a sinner and can't save myself. I need Your forgiveness. I believe You are the Son of God and that You died on the cross for my sin and rose from the dead. I repent of my sin and trust You as Savior and Lord. Take control of my life and help me to follow you in obedience. In Jesus' name. Amen.”
If you prayed that
Two things help more than anything else in the first week. Start reading, so the relationship has a voice in it. And tell one person, because faith said out loud is far harder to quietly drop.
